At Golden Valley School, we believe athletics and academics are inseparable partners in the formation of exceptional human beings. Our motto — Academics First, Athletics Always — reflects our commitment to developing the whole child.
Through a comprehensive approach aligned with the IB framework, we foster physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development at every stage. From the first steps of our Montessori students to the competitive arenas of high school, every athlete learns discipline, resilience, teamwork, and the joy of pushing beyond their limits.

From first steps to international competition — every GVS student has a clear development path in athletics.
Early Childhood
Montessori (4 months - 5 years)Movement & play foundations. Macrogymnastics, Little Athletics, and aquatic stimulation.
Elementary
PYP (Ages 6-11)Multi-sport exploration, physical education, and formative sports clubs for all interests.
Middle School
MYP (Ages 12-16)Club teams, skill development, JV competition, and MEP Juegos Deportivos participation.
High School
DP (Ages 16-19)Varsity teams, specialization, high-performance conditioning, and national tournaments.
Elite
Post-GraduationNational and international competition, sports scholarships, and university recruitment.
Official Sports
Six official competitive sports where Jaguars train, compete, and represent Golden Valley at regional, national, and international levels.
Soccer
Primary and Secondary teams, plus the Jaguars Academy in partnership with Academia Cubujuqui. Competing in LINAFA, LIASCE, UNIFUT, and MEP tournaments.
Basketball
Primary and Secondary men's teams with Basketball Nights events. Formative clubs at all levels and MEP competition in regular and 3x3 formats.
Volleyball
Secondary competitive team with formative programs. MEP Juegos Deportivos participation across regular and beach volleyball categories.
Track & Field
Primary team in cross-country and track events. Little Athletics for Montessori and early primary. MEP competition across 6 events and 5 stages.
Swimming
Four modalities: initiation, formative, competitive, and rehabilitation. From aquatic stimulation in Montessori through competitive MEP swimming.
Cheerleading
Primary and Secondary competitive squads. World Cheerleading Championship participants with formative clubs available for beginners.
